I'm a screenwriter driven by a deep passion for bringing historical narratives to life on screen. With decades of experience across the arts—including poetry, novels, non-fiction, theatre design, playwriting, and film production—I bring a uniquely multidisciplinary approach to storytelling. I specialise in crafting emotionally resonant screenplays drawn from memoirs, non-fiction, and classical literature, adapting them into compelling cinematic and dramatic works. My stories are rooted in both the recent and distant past, grounded in historical authenticity, emotional truth, and a deep sense of humanity. I’m especially drawn to under-represented voices and overlooked moments in history—those untold or forgotten stories that deserve to be seen and heard. Through rigorous research and intuitive character development, I aim to give these narratives a powerful and cinematic voice. Whether I'm writing scripts, working closely with actors on character motivation, or collaborating with directors and producers, I strive to create grounded, immersive experiences that resonate deeply with audiences.
