Synopsis:

In Edwardian England, a young woman, long separated from her melancholic mother by her domineering father, comes of age and is forced to confront the tangled web of betrayal, control, and deception that shaped her childhood. She must choose between biological ties and an adopted experience based in an isolated existence with a healing woman.
